Professional Work
CBD Man
CBD Man was a job for a Sydney based courier company. They wanted a mascot to represent their brand and to be included on all their
print collateral, website and external signage.
The version they chose was slightly different with a literal box for a face. However, I thought the version below was a lot better.
The sculpted face gives the character a much more professional polished look.
I modelled the character mainly in Maya however the face was sculpted in ZBrush. The character was textured in Photoshop. It was rendered with
Pixar's Renderman and turntable was composited with After Effects.

Red Rabbit
Red Rabbit Media was a sole client. She ran a small video production and (RED) camera rental service.
She was very specific and asked for a superhero rabbit mascot as she often promoted the business at comic conventions. She required a logo plus
several pieces of print collateral.
The client and I were very pleased with the end result.

Concepts

Argh! C
This was a job I did years ago for an online retailer called Hobby King. They sell remote-controlled vehicles and other toys and gadgets like drones, batteries and parts. The owner wanted to create an online community for the people who frequent his store. He wanted to have a weekly comic strip on the site. He explained to me that they're quite 'nerdy'. I would come up with some humorous concepts and he'd tweak them to fit what he thought they'd find funny. Honestly some of the jokes were completely over my head. Its a very cliquey community. Nevertheless, it was a fun little project.

Medical Observer
When I worked as a graphic designer in the early 2000's for Medi Media, my secondary task each week was to illustrate an opinion piece in the magazine. The topic always related to something happening in the medical industry each week and was quite political. I had to work with the Editor closely to develop the concept for the cartoon. I didn't have access to drawing tablets back then. They were just hand-drawn in Derwents and scanned in.
Unless you have the articles they accompanied at hand they dont make much sense. But its fun too look back at some hand drawn stuff, and see that my skills have progressed a lot since then as well.
